: An information session on the 2017 QLS Election will be streamed through Facebook Live at 11.30am AEST on Monday 14 August 2017 and will be available to view online after this date.
From now to 4pm AEST Friday 1 September 2017
Ensure your details are up to date
: Full members are requested to email our records team
with any updates to their contact details by 4pm AEST Friday 1 September 2017 to allow for administrative processing ahead of the close of the Roll of Electors.
Become a full member
: To be eligible to stand for nomination and vote in the Council election, eligible practitioners must renew or submit their application to become a full member of QLS by 4pm AEST Friday 1 September 2017 to allow for administrative processing ahead of the close of the Roll of Electors. The Roll of Electors will close at 9am AEST Monday 4 September 2017.

Consider nominating for Council: We need professional leaders to support Queensland Law Society in its leadership of the profession. Nominations must be received by the returning officer by 4pm AEST Tuesday 19 September 2017.

Campaign to the membership: Candidates can begin campaigning as soon as they receive confirmation from QLS that their application for candidacy is accepted. Candidates are then welcome to utilise their personal networks to advocate to the profession. Candidates are to strictly observe the
QLS election media protocol

: it’s one of the most important things you can do for your profession. QLS members who are on the Roll of Electors will receive a link via their nominated email address to vote electronically during this period.
The 2017 QLS Election will be hosted by BigPulse, a web-based online service provider.
BigPulse will send members on the Roll of Electors a link via their nominated email address to vote electronically. Emails will be sent from the domain name mail1.bigpulse.com which currently uses IP addresses: 220.127.116.11 and 18.104.22.168. Please consult with your IT support provider to add BigPulse to your Safe Senders List.
