Expressions of Interest for the Appeal Costs Board

The Appeal Costs Board administers the appeal costs fund, which exists to pay the costs of legal proceedings under circumstances where a retrial in a court case may be required or where an appeal against a court decision is successful due to a legal error. The Board also advises the Minister on any matter submitted by the Minister relating to the operation of the Appeal Costs Fund Act 1973. The Board includes a representative from the Queensland Law Society and a representative from the Queensland Bar Association.
