2011/12 Advocacy Annual highlights another stellar year
25 June 2012
Queensland Law Society is proud to present the second annual QLS Advocacy Annual. The 2011/12 Advocacy Annual provides a synopsis of the most important advocacy issues undertaken by the Society from May 2011 to April 2012. It highlights our achievements and shows the way forward for ongoing issues.
Covering almost the full spectrum of legal practice areas, high profile issues covered in this year’s Advocacy Annual include personal property securities reform, 17 year olds in the adult criminal justice system, the Criminal Organisation Amendment Bill 2011 and greentape reduction.
Advocacy services are among the most important QLS offers to the legal profession and general community and we continue to set high performance benchmarks.
We’re set to supersede the 2010/11 record of advocacy activity, with 200 submissions already completed as at April 2012, up from 193 last year.
