Civil and criminal reforms passed by Parliament

The Civil and Criminal Jurisdiction Reform and Modernisation Amendment Bill was passed by Parliament on 3 August 2010.
The Bill will commence on proclamation. The Department of Justice and Attorney-General have advised that the proclamation date is yet to be set but the Queensland Law Society will be contacted as a relevant stakeholder once this date has been decided and approved.

The Queensland Law Society will continue to update its members on this important legislation.
