The draft national legal profession legislation was presented to the Council of Australian Governments on 19 April and Federal Attorney-General Robert McClelland MP has announced a public consultation period of three months, which began 14 May and ends on 13 August 2010.

To assist in ensuring our members are well-informed about the proposed changes to the profession, we have scheduled two free member forums to discuss the draft legislation.
