Welcome to our new President
11 January 2013
We warmly welcome Annette Bradfield as Queensland Law Society’s 2013, and 60th, President. Annette is a partner of Fox Bradfield Lawyers practising primarily in property and commercial law. Having worked in firms large and small, rural and city, (Groom & Lavers, Minter Ellison, Barwicks Wisewoulds and Porter Davies) and as a lecturer and mentor at QUT, Annette understands the range of issues facing members and the legal profession and sees advocacy by QLS for QLS members as a fundamental QLS service.
“As I said in my election platform, one of the most important QLS values is that of service,” Annette said.
“QLS exists to help members in their practise of law and this year my focus is on resilience, regional practice, women in law and revamping our products and services based on the results of recent member research.”
“I intend to strengthen connections with members across the state, both in Brisbane and the regions.
“I look forward to working with our members in 2013 and I have an open door policy for inquiries and discussion.”
Annette’s contact details are firstname.lastname@example.org, 07 3842 5943.
She takes over the reins from our now-Immediate Past President Dr John de Groot who we sincerely thank for his service in 2012.
