Inaugural meeting: Reconciliation and First Nations Advancement
18 October 2017
The Society held the inaugural meeting of the Reconciliation and First Nations Advancement Committee (RFNAC) on 10 October. The Committee was established to further our commitment to our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).
The Committee’s purpose is to advocate for and raise awareness for reconciliation and the advancement of the legal interests and communities of First Nations peoples. The group is comprised of First Nations practitioners and legal professionals all across Queensland. They are developing and exploring ways to engage with the community. The committee acknowledges that October is Indigenous Business Month and encourages everyone to get involved. The next meeting will be held in December.
