Invitation: 2016 Access to Justice Scorecard Survey

You are warmly invited to participate in the 2016 Queensland Law Society Access to Justice Scorecard, an initiative of the QLS Access to Justice and Pro Bono Law Committee.

Complete the Access to Justice Scorecard Survey now.

The scorecard should only take about 10 minutes to complete and will remain open until Friday 15 July 2016.

The scorecard gauges the views of the Queensland legal profession on the state of access to justice. It asks a series of questions about solicitors’ perceptions of how fair Queensland laws are, and whether they achieve their intended outcomes.

This year, the focus is on access to legal services for people who cannot afford private representation and the need to expand services to provide help to Queenslanders facing legal problems.

The scorecard also aims to:

  • acknowledge and celebrate access to justice achievements, including those often taken for granted in a society that has a strong rule of law
  • identify where improvements to laws and policies may be necessary
  • offer solutions to overcome identified access to justice barriers
  • engage and promote broader legal profession and community interest in access to justice issues.
