Competition and consumer law
On 28 August 2018, the QLS Competition and Consumer Law Committee wrote a response to the Treasury in relation to unfair contract terms – insurance contracts.

General advocacy
On 27 August 2018, QLS submitted a letter to the Honourable Di Farmer MP (Minister for Child Safety, Youth and Women and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic and Family Violence) to share our thoughts on bail support funding for children and young people in remand.

On 28 August 2018, QLS sent a follow up letter to Queensland Corrective Services. The letter related to a census data request regarding the number of prisoners held in prolonged solitary confinement in Queensland.
