OSRconnect changes are coming

As foreshadowed in QLS Update 13 September 2017, the Office of State Revenue (OSR) is implementing a second stage of additional information requirements on 3 October 2017. The additional information requirements will apply to transactions involving the transfer of real property, where the transferor or transferee is a non-Australian entity. Updated duties forms with the additional information requirements are now available online.
The additional information will be required in OSRconnect for transactions that are to be assessed on or after 3 October 2017.
Practitioners should update the forms on their systems with the updated forms. To mitigate issues with finalising assessments in OSRconnect on or after 3 October 2017, where possible, it is recommended that practitioners provide the updated forms to clients.
The OSR is presently finalising information and supporting material about the changes. The information will be available online from close of business Friday, 29 September 2017.
