OSRconnect changes from 3 October

As foreshadowed in QLS Update on 14 June 2017, the Office of State Revenue (OSR) will be implementing a second stage of additional information requirements on 3 October.
The additional information requirements will apply to transactions involving the transfer of real property, where the transferor or transferee is a non-Australian entity.
The OSR is finalising the amended duty forms and changes to the OSRconnect platform.
It is anticipated that the new forms will available on Monday 18 September. The OSR will keep QLS and registered self assessors informed of the timing for releasing the new forms.
The additional information will be required in OSRconnect for transactions that are to be assessed on or after 3 October 2017.
Practitioners should update the forms on their systems when the new forms are released. To mitigate issues with finalising assessments in OSRconnect on or after 3 October, where possible, it is recommended that practitioners provide the new forms to clients from 18 September.
The OSR will be able to assist practitioners to finalise assessments in OSRconnect on or after 3 October and will provide further information about this service before then.
