QLS announces Council election results

Queensland Law Society's full members have elected 11 people during the 2017 Council election, with polls closing at 4pm yesterday (Mon Oct 16).

Those elected to lead QLS and guide the profession for two years from January 1, 2018 are:

President: Ken Taylor

Deputy President: Bill Potts

Vice President: Chris Coyne

Ordinary Members of Council:

  • Paul Tully
  • Kara Thomson
  • Luke Murphy
  • Michael Brennan
  • Travis Schultz
  • Kirsty Mackie
  • Chloe Kopilovic

Karen Simpson continues as the Attorney-General’s nominee on the Council.

This year there were 22 people vying for a position on the Council.
