The Building and Construction Industry Payments Act 2004 (BCIPA) allows a process of swift adjudication to resolve payment disputes within the building and construction industry across the State. If you are seeking payment as a contractor, Queensland Law Society (QLS) as an Authorised Nominating Authority (ANA) can assist in the adjudication process.
Our adjudicators live in Queensland and each has more than 10 years’ legal experience in building and construction.

QLS ANA staff are happy to assist applicants and respondents with procedures under the Act, but are unable to offer specific legal advice on individual circumstances.
You may wish to seek independent legal advice if you are an applicant or respondent who needs help with their submissions, or you’d like someone to review your documentation before lodgement.
Below is a list of Queensland solicitors who specialise in matters related to the Building and Construction Industry Payments Act 2004. These solicitors can help you with your application or response documents to ensure compliance with the requirements under BCIPA.
