There are a range of meeting and mediation rooms available to be booked for a fee at Law Society House and are conveniently located in the Brisbane CBD. Queensland Law Society Member's Lounge with wi-fi access to the internet, photocopying and printing facilities, telephones and fax services, refreshments and daily newspapers and magazines. We also have a large auditorium that can accommodate 120 people or configured to suit smaller functions. Lexon Insurance have created a range of tools and documents that are available to QLS members insured by Lexon to use online or download to assist in managing risks in their practice.
Since the introduction of the Legal Profession Act 2007 (Qld), solicitors looking to open a practice have much more flexibility as to the business structure of their practice. In addition to partnerships and sole practice, solicitors can now opt to practice through a corporate structure or through a multi-disciplinary partnership.
