Business Integration & Systems Analyst

The Queensland Law Society (QLS) is a progressive organisation and is the leading professional body for legal practitioners, representing more than 10,000 members state-wide. This newly created role requires sound knowledge of iMIS and analytical ability to fully integrate iMIS across our business. Exceptional interpersonal skills, along with strong business and systems analyst skills will be applied to gain an understanding of our business requirements to maximise benefits from the new MRM system. Essentially, you will ensure optimal use of iMIS through developing internal user capability, which will result in enhanced business intelligence and process improvements to meet our members’ needs.
Reporting to the Director of Information Systems, you’ll be responsible for:
- providing iMIS support to QLS staff, including maintaining SQL Server database interfaces, developing processes to automate tasks and create efficiencies, and assisting users with application queries
- writing queries to automate processes using Task Centre
- manage the project of implementing Application Manager for the online renewal process
- creating reports for in-house reporting using Crystal Reports and/or SQL Reporting Services
- extracting data using ad-hoc T-SQL queries
- consulting with business unit managers to assist in process improvements and enhance business efficiencies
- responding to requests for data analysis and reporting from business units and managing the delivery of these requests in a timely manner
- identifying, analysing and monitoring relevant trends within the membership database and developing recommendations to inform business decisions
- developing internal user capability of iMIS to ensure optimal use of the system
To be successful in this role, you will have proven BA skills in a corporate environment and experience in process mapping and generating solutions to enhance business efficiencies. You will have a technical background and competent in iMIS, Crystal Reporting, iParts development (Microsoft ASP.NET Web Part Controls integrated with iMIS), and demonstrated competence in Microsoft SQL Server database reporting and administration. You’ll have a strong ability to develop and maintain relationships with business stakeholders at all levels and will be achievement orientated with the ability to deliver results in a timely manner.
This will be a full-time role for approximately 12 months.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a service oriented team player with sound computer skills to join our Records & Information Services team. Located in the CBD, the Queensland Law Society (QLS) is the peak professional body in the State, representing and supporting more than 10,000 members.
As Member Services Support, you will use your service flair and initiative to leave members with a ‘wow’ factor when handling any enquiries. You will never be bored as the role is varied and involves using a membership system to maintain accurate membership records, respond to member enquiries and provide information to support our business units.
To succeed in this position, you will have:
- the ability to learn new information quickly, such as the Legal Profession Act and Rules relevant to practising certificates
- a natural strength towards service excellence
- demonstrated attention to detail and strong computer skills
- the ability to manage competing demands through self-management and effective organisational skills
- competent in the Microsoft Office suite
- a positive attitude and enjoy working as part of a team.
This is a full-time role for approximately 12 months.
