Strategic Plan

The Society’s new strategic plan was adopted by the QLS Council on 29 May 2008, came into effect on 1 July, and officially launched to QLS staff on 30 July.

The commercial considerations that underpin the Society’s ability to deliver continuous service improvements have been key to the recent process – the Society's aim is to achieve sufficient profit each year to reinvest back into the business for the maintenance of relevant, valued membership services. The focus of the implementation of this plan is in all Society staff taking responsibility for the quality of service delivery both internally and externally.

As you can see from the strategic plan, the basic elements for the QLS journey over the next four years are the vision and core values. These provide the foundation for the implementation of the four-year goals, one-year goals, and quarter-one projects.

Because of the comprehensive planning process engaged in developing the Strategic Plan FY08/09–FY11/12, and in particular the sound project management framework for making it all happen, great results are sure to be achieved.
