Membership
Queensland Law Society leads a membership of 10,000 individuals and has three types of membership.
Full membership is open to solicitors holding a current Queensland Practising Certificate.
If you‘re not a solicitor but work in the legal profession for example as a barrister, serving an articled clerkship, as legal support staff, or a university professor, you’re eligible for an associate membership.
University students studying law are eligible for free student membership.
Member services
The Queensland Law Society recognises that its membership is diverse and that we represent individuals at different stages of their careers.
We aim to meet the demands of our diverse membership and provide services to benefit the majority of members. Queensland Law Society can help you professionally, commercially and socially.
Professional privileges
Professional privileges include member-only access to information and advice, and discounted access to professional development opportunities to name a few.
Commercial privileges
The commercial privileges of membership are an integral part of membership. As a member you have exclusive access to offers from our commercial benefit providers.
Social privileges
Membership provides a social aspect and a sense of belonging to the profession. As a full member you’re able to participate on committees, deliver topics at Queensland Law Society conferences and seminars and take advantage of the Society’s networking opportunities.
