Specialist Accreditation
The Queensland Law Society Specialist Accreditation program was established in 1995 and currently offers accreditation in 11 areas of specialty.
The program:
- provides practitioners with an opportunity to formally recognise their high level of competency and knowledge in their chosen area of legal practice; and
- provides guidance to the public and the profession as to which practitioners truly are leaders in their area of expertise.
Queensland Law Society accredited specialists not only have extensive experience in their area of accreditation, but have successfully completed an advanced, peer reviewed assessment program specific to their area of specialty.
This assessment process is challenging, but holds multiple personal and professional benefits. Only those practitioners who have successfully completed this assessment can distinguish themselves from their peers through referring to themselves as accredited specialists and advertising their expertise through the use of the Specialist Accreditation logo and post nominals, a nationally recognised mark of excellence throughout the legal profession.
Be formally recognised as a leader in your area of expertise…become an accredited specialist this year!
