Focusing on the trust account requirements of the Legal Profession Act 2007 and using practical examples to illustrate common errors identified by the Queensland Law Society trust accounts investigations section, this interactive session looks at:

  • an overview of the Legal Profession Act 2007 and the Legal Profession Regulation (Part 3.3) in respect to trust accounts
  • resources available online
  • new terminologies and concepts
  • trouble-shooting in relation to receipting, cheques, cash book ledger and reconciliation problems
    Delegates are encouraged to bring along problems and get clear guidance as to the correct steps to take in a given situation.
