The venue
The Succession Law Conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency Coolum, Warran
Road, Coolum. Located 90 minutes drive north of Brisbane, the hotel of fers a variety of family-friendly accommodation options and boasts its very own 2km private beach, and a multitude of activities including a PGA Championship golf course. Full details at coolum.regency.hyatt.com
Accommodation

For further accommodation enquiries, please contact hotel reservations on 07 5446 1234. Credit card details will be required to secure all accommodation bookings, this card will be used for any cancellation or ‘no show’ charges. A credit card must be presented upon
arrival to cover all accommodation and incidental charges. Should firms wish to book/cover the accommodation, a credit card authorisation form will need to be completed and sent with accommodation booking form (both found online on the event registration page). We recommend that accommodation bookings are made immediately with the hotel to avoid disappointment.

Lake front villa – $435.00 per villa per night 4 guests (two bedrooms)
Additional guest – $60.00 per person per night (max. one bed per room)
Breakfast is not included in the above accommodation rates. Hot breakfast is available at a cost of $10 (incl GST) per person in the resort restaurant.

Registration and conference sessions
Registration will be held in the pavilion foyer. Conference plenary sessions will take place in the pavilion, a short walk from hotel reception, with breakout sessions taking
place in the Mt Coolum One room.
Golf
Hyatt Regency Coolum golf course is the home of the Australian PGA Championship.
Located on the Sunshine Coast this 72 par, 6263 metre course offers contrasting landscapes, from coastal holes adjoining the Pacific Ocean to manicured fairways that weave their way through native bushland.
Designed by renowned golf course architect Robert Trent Jones Jr, a round of golf at this superbly challenging course is complemented by an ideal sub-tropical climate.

The Spa

Pool and Gymnasium
Guests (over the age of 16) staying at the hotel have complimentary access to the lap pool and gymnasium throughout their stay. These facilities are accessible via the spa.
Camp Hyatt

Parking
Complimentary self-parking is available at the resort carpark. Alternatively, a valet car parking service is available for $15 per night.

Succession Law Dinner (Friday 5 November)
Join colleagues, friends and partners for the three course conference dinner. One dinner ticket is included with a delegate’s two-day registration (Please indicate attendance when registering). Additional dinner tickets for partners and one-day registrations can be purchased for $121 for Queensland Law Society members or $143 for non-members via the conference registration hard copy/online booking form.

Name badges
Your name badge is your passport to all conference sessions, morning and afternoon tea, lunch and the conference dinner (full conference delegates). Please ensure your badge is visible at all times.

A green initiative for Queensland Law Society
The Queensland Law Society is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and impact on the environment. Papers and presentations (where supplied by the presenter) will be distributed to delegates electronically 72 hours prior to the conference date. Papers and presentations (where supplied by the presenter) will also be provided to delegates on the day of the conference on a USB stick.
Close of conference registration
Close of earlybird registration (with accompanying payment) is 8 October 2010.
Standard registration (with accompanying payment) must be received at least 48 working hours prior to the commencement of the conference (no later than 3 November 2010).
CPD points – Queensland Law Society
The Succession Law Conference attracts 6.5 general CPD points on Friday (Day 1) and 4.5 general CPD points on Saturday (Day 2). Please note that the compulsory CPD areas of practice management and business skills, professional skills and practical legal ethics for the 2010/2011 CPD year are on offer within the program.

Can’t make the conference?
The full conference proceedings will be available for purchase as a filmed DVD with accompanying CD-ROM of papers and PowerPoint presentations (where supplied) for either or both days. Orders will take four to six weeks to process af ter the conference date. Please see the registration form for costs and to place your resource order.
Delegates who are attending the Succession law conference can order resources at half price through the evaluation form which will be forwarded via email after the conference.
