Free member seminar: Bail and sentence reviews for young people

Specialising in the representation of young people in the youth justice system, Legal Aid Queensland’s Youth Legal Aid team led by David Law will present skills that combine practical approaches with up-to-date consideration of legislation and case law.

Through demonstrations with direct reference to examples and case scenarios, this workshop will provide lawyers with practical methods for assessing a young person’s prospects, having particular regard to conducting bail applications and sentencing reviews. It also provides materials to assist practitioners with managing client interviews, drafting materials and structuring submissions.
