Trafficking in persons is a crime that is demand driven. Like other forms of organised crime, trafficking in persons involves the delivery and offer of an illicit service that responds to a demand in a given consumer population. Presented in conjunction with the Human Trafficking Working Group of the University of Queensland, this seminar explores human trafficking in an Australian context and highlights the challenge of targeting those who exploit desperate people.
