Have your say at the ASIC regional stakeholder meetings
18 January 2010
The ASIC regional stakeholder liaison meetings are your chance to raise issues of importance to you, provide feedback to ASIC on a range of matters including service delivery, and advise of market conduct which may be of concern and that is within ASIC’s regulatory powers.
The meetings will be held in Mackay, Townsville and Cairns.
Mackay – 15 February 2010, 2.30-3.30pm – Grand Mercure Suites
Townsville – 16 February 2010, 2.30-3.30pm – Raffles Room, Rydges Southbank
Cairns – 17 February 2010, 2.30-3.30pm – Novotel Cairns Oasis Resort
The meetings are also an opportunity for ASIC to provide an update on key issues and they will provide an information pack to attendees.
You can email ASIC topics of interest that are within its jurisdiction by Monday 1 February for inclusion in the meetings.
There will also be an industry education seminar by ASIC representatives on the new consumer credit legislation that will be held in the same venues on the same days at 10.30am. This seminar will provide an overview of the new legislation for those providing or facilitating consumer credit.
