Becoming a member of one of our 26 committees will put you and your firm at the leading edge of current public issues, State Government Bills and potential areas of law reform.
Committees carry out a wide range of functions including:
- policy recommendations and implementation
- providing expert advice to Queensland Law Society’s Council
- commenting on policy/legislative initiatives and reports by Government and relevant authorities
- bringing attention to problems with the law and seeking appropriate amendments.
The policy committees provide a forum for considering practical problems affecting members and bring a wide range of issues to their attention.
