Personal injury advertising and referral arrangements

Law practices which:

  • advertise for personal injury work through ‘sponsored links’ on search engine results pages on websites such as Google, or
  • accept referrals of personal injury clients from non-lawyer referral agencies

should take note of new Legal Services Commission guidelines: Advice about personal injury advertising on internet search engines and non-lawyer websites.

Law practices have until 31 March 2010 to ensure any ‘sponsored links’ comply with these latest guidelines.
