The "Solicitors. Your Experts in the Law" is a landmark marketing and public education campaign aimed at overcoming old-fashioned public perceptions about who solicitors are and what solicitors do.

This very visual campaign was launched by The Honourable Chief Justice Paul de Jersey on 2 December 2005 and shows a number of common challenges - including family issues, issues of justice, workplace relations, conveyancing and contractual obligations. The central theme of the campaign is to inform people that they don’t need to handle these types of challenges alone - by calling a solicitor they can access both support and expert advice.

The campaign also focuses on the diversity of the legal profession, highlighting that solicitors may be male or female, youthful or mature, and from a broad range of ethnic backgrounds. An important aim of the campaign is also to show that while solicitors are experts in all manner of legal areas, they are also approachable, friendly and accessible.

Common to each image is the Queensland Law Society’s web address for the 'find a solicitor' section (findasolicitor.qls.com.au). This site will assist members of the public needing legal assistance to quickly and easily access a solicitor, either by name, location or area of speciality.

The campaign will feature on billboards on major highways around Queensland, on Brisbane metropolitan buses, and in high-traffic areas including Central railway station.  Display postcards and mouse mats will also be distributed.
