The QLS is pleased to announce the appointment of Noela L'Estrange to the role of chief executive officer from 11 May 2009. Noela resigned as director of legal practice support for Australian Government Solicitor in Canberra to take up this role.

Noela has an impressive background both in law and in business including managing director of a strategic management consultancy. Noela has lectured in law at QUT and worked for a national law firm as a human resources lawyer. Over the past 15 years, she specialised in the field of professional services management. Noela has particular expertise in strategic business planning, marketing professional services, learning and development, and quality management planning and implementation.

In her former role in AGS as general manager, business development, Noela was responsible for establishing the strategic support and frameworks for human resources, marketing and client services, information technology and information management.

Noela was appointed by QLS Council following a rigorous and highly structured selection process that established her credentials as being the strongest candidate with the highest level of leadership and strategy development experience.
