Events Policy

1. General Information

1.1 All CLE conference and seminar registrations will close 48 hours prior to the event date.

1.2 All monies for registrations are to be received prior to the date of the event. A delegate will only be issued with conference/seminar registration after all monies are received.

1.3 Registrations for conferences and seminars will not be accepted on the day of the event, except as approved by the CLE Manager.

1.4 In the event of a registration under section 1.3 being approved, a 'late fee' will be applied to the registration. For conferences, the late fee will be $35. For seminars, the late fee will be $20 (including GST).

1.5 For all registrations under 1.3, payment will be required at the time of the enrolment. Payment will only be accepted by credit card or cheque.

1.6 Each registration is for one delegate only. Delegates cannot 'share' registration e.g., delegates cannot swap between sessions.

1.7 Whilst every effort is made to maintain the integrity of CLE conference programming, CLE reserves the right to amend conference/seminar programs and substitute speakers and/or topic areas where deemed necessary by the Manager, PD.

2. Early bird registrations

2.1 In order for a delegate to be eligible for the advertised 'early bird' rate for a conference, registrations must be booked and paid for by the nominated early bird closing date.

2.2 In the event that payment is not received prior to the early bird registration closing date, the delegate will be charged at the standard conference rate.

3. Transfer of registration

3.1 Conference/seminar registration is transferable prior to the commencement of the nominated conference/seminar.

3.2 Any request for the transferal of registration is to be submitted, in writing, (letter/fax/email) to the CLE Manager for approval, prior to the commencement of the relevant conference/seminar.

3.3 Any conference/ seminar registration requested to be transferred to a DVD resource on the day or thereafter of a conference/seminar will incur a transfer fee of $55.00

4. Cancellation and refunds

4.1 Registration cancellation is permissible without penalty until two weeks prior to the conference/seminar commencement date.

4.2 From two weeks prior to the registration and until 48 hours prior to the event, a cancellation penalty of 50% of the registration fee applies, however the registration package is transferable to another delegate without penalty.

4.3 Cancellations within 48 hours of the commencement of the conference will incur a cancellation penalty of the entire registration fee; however the registration package is transferable to another delegate without penalty.

4.4 Requests for a refund due to exceptional circumstances such as sudden illness or injury will be considered. Such requests should be forwarded in writing, as soon as practicable, to the Professional Development Manager.
