Introduction
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) was introduced into Queensland in 2005.
Practitioners are required to complete a minimum of 10CPD points each year in order to maintain their Queensland practising certificate. There are a variety of activities available to assist practitioners with the Scheme. CPD points may be acquired through:
- Attending seminars and conferences
- Preparation and presentation at seminars/conferences
- Viewing of 'real time' DVDs of conferences/seminars
- Publishing articles in law journals and other legal publications e.g. Proctor
- Member of relevant legal Committee
