Am I eligible to apply for Specialist Accreditation?
To be eligible to apply for accreditation, you must:
- be a member of the Queensland Law Society or a member of an equivalent State or Territory body in Australia. Please note: if you are unable to satisfy the above criteria, your application may still be accepted;
- hold a current practising certificate or be engaged in legal work as an employee of a State or Territory Government or Cth Government or acting in a judicial or quasi-judicial capacity;
- have been engaged in full time legal work for at least five years’ following the date of your admission to practice;
- demonstrate that in the three years prior to the application, you have maintained a substantial involvement (at least 25% of normal full time practice) in the area which accreditation is sought.
