QLS has been invited to appear at three parliamentary committee hearings to provide comment on the following legislative reform:
Working with our policy committees, the team was active throughout March, making submissions on Bill amendments and other legislation. Submissions from 19-23 March include:
- 20 March 2018 – Local Government (Councillor Complaints) and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2018 – Occupational Discipline Law Committee
- 21 March 2018 – Ipso facto stay and regulations – the Oil Code of Conduct (Oil Code) and Franchising Code of Conduct (Franchising Code) – Franchising Law Committee
- 21 March 2018 – Taxation Consultative Committee – various matters raised by QLS for consideration and further submissions on particular issues – Revenue Law Committee
- 22 March 2018 – Vegetation Management and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2018 – Planning and Environmental Law Committee
- 22 March 2018 – Heavy Vehicle National Law and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2018 – Criminal Law Committee
