Survey: Independent Children’s Lawyer training

National Legal Aid (NLA) is redeveloping its national Independent Children’s Lawyer (ICL) training program to replace the program previously offered by NLA in collaboration with the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia.

Satisfactory completion of the national Independent Children’s Lawyer training program is one of the requirements that legal aid commissions have when determining who should be allocated ICL work or included on specialist ICL panels.

To ensure that the new program best meets the needs of children, parties and lawyers, NLA is seeking the views of a range of people engaged in the family law system. NLA invites practitioners to take an anonymous and confidential survey, that should be able to be completed within 15 minutes.

The survey will close at 4pm this Friday, 30 June.
