What do I need to do?

  • Be informed: An information session on the 2019 QLS Election will be available on the website from Thursday 15 August 2019.

From now to 4pm AEST Friday 6 September 2019

  • Ensure your details are up to date: Full members are requested to email our records team records@qls.com.au with any updates to their contact details by 4pm AEST Friday 6 September 2019 to allow for administrative processing ahead of the close of the Roll of Electors.
  • Become a full member: To be eligible to stand for nomination and vote in the Council election, eligible practitioners must renew or submit their application to become a full member of QLS by 4pm AEST Friday 6 September 2019 to allow for administrative processing ahead of the close of the Roll of Electors. The Roll of Electors will close at 9am AEST Monday 9 September 2019.

Monday 9 September 2019 to 4pm AEST Tuesday 24 September 2019

  • Consider nominating for Council: Are you ready to take up the mantle and make a difference to the profession and the community? Nominations must be received by the returning officer by 4pm AEST Tuesday 24 September 2019.

Monday 9 September 2019 to 4pm AEST Thursday 24 October 2019

  • Campaign to the membership: Candidates can begin campaigning as soon as they receive confirmation from QLS that their application for candidacy is accepted. Candidates are then welcome to utilise their personal networks to advocate to the profession. Candidates are to strictly observe the QLS Election, Media and Engagement Protocol 2019.

Wednesday 9 October 2019 to 4pm AEST Thursday 24 October 2019

  • Vote: it’s one of the most important things you can do for your profession. QLS members who are on the Roll of Electors are encouraged to vote.

    The 2019 QLS Election will be hosted by BigPulse, a web-based online service provider who will send members on the Roll of Electors a link via their nominated email address to vote electronically. Emails will be sent from the domain name mail1.bigpulse.com which currently uses IP addresses: 209.15.228.130 and 5.44.17.248. Please consult with your IT support provider to add BigPulse to your Safe Senders List.
