The annual Gold Coast Legal Conference is on again! Join us and the Gold Coast District Law Association on 10 June at The Star on beautiful Broadbeach for a day packed with informative sessions. Presenters include the Honourable Justice Michael Jarrett (Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia), QLS’ very own Principal Ethics and Practice Counsel Stafford Shepherd, Evolve Legal’s Practice Leader and Special Counsel Anna Morgan, and of course, the Chief Justice of Queensland, the Honourable Helen Bowskill.
The Honourable Helen Bowskill was admitted on 22 March this year, having served as a Judge of the Supreme Court of Queensland from 10 July 2017, and as the Senior Judge Administrator of the Supreme Court of Queensland from 24 August 2021. After her Honour was admitted as a solicitor in January 1998, and then as a barrister in July 1998, she practised widely in public, administrative and commercial law areas, with a particular focus on native title law. Her Honour has been a member of the Judicial Council on Cultural Diversity since 2016. This will be Chief Justice Bowskill’s first GCLC in her new role. Her Honour has made an outstanding contribution to justice in Queensland over the course of her career, and we’re very much looking forward to her Honour’s address.
From the art of advocacy, to tax headaches, to Gold Coast body corporate law, and plenty of other topics in between, there’s something for everyone at the GCLC. You can get 7 CPD points on the day, as well as a bonus pack of 3 core CPD point recordings. We think 10 CPD points from just one event is an excellent return on investment, and the beachside location is just an added bonus!
Simply register here, and see you at The Star in June!
