Conditions of entry
Entrants must have:
- Attended QLS Family Law Conference 2021, hosted by the Promoter on 22 October 2021, held at The Warehouse (8 McLachlan Street, Fortitude Valley
- Completed the trade passport (passport) and submitted it to either a Queensland Law Society staff member or placed it in the draw box at the Queensland Law Society registration desk.
There is no entry fee to enter this draw.

By submitting your passport you will be entering this competition and will be considered to be in acceptance of these terms and conditions.
All entries become the property of the Promoter.
Entry into the prize draw opens at 8am AEST on Friday 22 October 2021 and closes at 5.30pm AEST on Friday 22 October 2021.
Entrants must complete the passport and submit it to either a Queensland Law Society staff member or place it in the draw box at the Queensland Law Society registration desk.
It is the responsibility of the entrant to ensure that he/she completes the passport correctly and provides a correct telephone number to be contacted in order to claim the prize.
Maximum number of entries
An entrant may enter the prize draw only once during the entry period – for a maximum of one (1) entry in total.
One (1) random draw will be conducted as follows:
- 9am AEST on Monday 25 October 2021 at Level 4, Law Society House, 179 Ann Street, Brisbane, QLD 4000
There is one (1) prize to be won as follows:
- A small bottle of premium quality Queensland Dry Gin from Brisbane Distillery
Any change in the value of the prize between the commencement of the entry period and the date the prize is delivered is not the responsibility of the Promoter.
Should the prize not be available, the Promoter will substitute another prize up to the same value at its absolute discretion.
The prize is not redeemable for cash.
The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into in this regard.
Total prize pool
Prize valued $87.50 including GST.
Notification of winners
The winners will be contacted via email and/or telephone within seven (7) days of the draw taking place.
The winner’s details will be published in the post-event email to all QLS Family Law Conference 2021 delegates and presenters.
Prize claim and date
The winner must acknowledge receipt of the Promotor’s winning notification phone call or email within seven (7) days. The prize will be delivered via courier to the winner’s address. The winner will be required to supply a postal or delivery address for the prize.
A failure to provide adequate details for delivery within seven (7) days of being contacted will lead to forfeiture of the prize and a redraw will be held not less than fourteen (14) days after the original draw. The Promoter will be responsible for the cost of delivering the prize within Australia via courier. Any further costs associated with claiming the prize shall be the cost of the winner and the Promoter will not be responsible for any other cost.
Unclaimed prize draw date
If the prize is not claimed within seven (7) days of email notification, an unclaimed prize draw will be conducted at the discretion of the Promoter within fourteen (14) days of the original draw.
The Promoter will make every reasonable effort to locate the prize winner of the unclaimed prize draw and to deliver the prize to the unclaimed prize winner.
The Promoter will make every reasonable effort to locate the prize winner – or in the event that the original prize winner does not supply a postal or delivery address within seven (7) days of being contracted, the redraw prize winner – and to deliver the prize to the prize winner by courier. The prize will be delivered within one (1) month of determining the prize winner.
Release and Indemnity
The Promoter shall not be liable for any cost, loss or expense arising out of the acceptance of the prize or participation in the prize draw including any damage or injury suffered or sustained including personal injury, loss of opportunity or profit or damage to property whether direct or indirect or consequential or due to the deliberate or negligent acts or omissions of the Promoter or otherwise.
The Promoter does not warrant or represent the quality, suitability or merchantability of the goods offered as prizes.
Cancellation of Prize Draw
The Promoter may cancel, suspend or modify the prize draw for any reason including computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any other cause beyond the Promoter’s control which may affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the prize draw.
The Promoter may also cancel, suspend or modify the prize draw if the determination of the prize winner or the delivery of the prize is prevented or hindered by any outside agent or event including but not limited to vandalism, power failure, tempest, natural disaster, acts of God, civil unrest or strikes or other industrial action.
The Promoter is collecting your information under the Information Privacy Act 2009. By entering the prize draw your personal information will be used to conduct the prize draw and to publish details of the prize winner in a post-event email sent to all QLS Family Law 2021 delegates and presenters. Your personal information may be disclosed to the events Major Partner, Session Partner, Trade Exhibitors or Virtual Exhibitor. Your personal information provided by entering the prize draw may be transferred and stored overseas to administer the Promoter’s services and communications to you. By entering the prize draw you agree to this transfer and Australian Privacy Principle 8.1 will not apply to this disclosure.
