Ethics and practice support

The QLS Ethics and Practice Centre provides legal ethics guidance, practice support and education to members.

Our focus is to help our members manage their practice ethically and efficiently.

We deliver in-house bespoke ethics sessions tailored to the needs of your firm. The Modern Advocate Lecture Series is designed to provide young practitioners with practical tips on advocacy. The Solicitor Advocate Course will enhance your skill set for advocacy work in courts and tribunals. The Establishing and maintaining positive client relationships workshop draws on the principles of project management to provide tools, to better deliver services to your clients.

Masterclass series

Our masterclass series aims to develop the skills and knowledge of practitioners who already have some experience in or understanding of a practice area, to a more advanced level.

Masterclasses are typically offered as a half day event presented by experienced practitioners, accredited specialists, barristers and/or members of the judiciary.

Flexible learning options

Our professional development events are offered in a variety of different formats to suit your needs and learning preferences.

Face-to-face conferences, workshop and lectures are a great way to learn from the experts and connect with your peers. If you can’t make it to a session, many of our conferences and workshops are filmed and are available for purchase to view on-demand. We also host livecast sessions, accessible from any computer tablet or mobile device.
