QLS Events Terms and Conditions

All inquiries about or requests in accordance with these terms and conditions must be made in writing to QLS at events@qls.com.au.

These terms and conditions apply to all QLS events including all in-person, hybrid and online events such as seminars, workshops, conferences, webinars and social/networking functions. By registering for a QLS event you agree to these terms and conditions.

1. Registrations

1.1 All registration fees are published on the QLS website in Australian Dollars and are inclusive of GST.

1.2 Registration fees are payable on registration. QLS does not guarantee registration until payment has been received. Registrants will not be permitted entrance to an event unless the registration fee and any other applicable fee has been received in full.

1.3 Discounted registration fees apply to certain events and availability/eligibility will be advertised on the specific event registration webpage on the QLS website.

1.4 QLS member discounts are available to QLS members where advertised. QLS membership fees for the current CPD year must have been paid in full before the member-discounted rate can apply.

1.5 Where an earlybird discounted registration fee is advertised, registrations must be completed and paid for by 5pm on the advertised earlybird closing date. If payment is not received before the closing time and date, the registrant will be charged the standard rate for the event. Earlybird registrations are limited and may sell-out before the advertised closing date. Once the allocated earlybird registrations are sold-out, registrations will revert to standard pricing, regardless of date.

1.6 An organisation cannot register for an event. Registrations must be in the name of an individual person only.  Each registration is for 1 attendee only. Registrants cannot share a registration or in the case of online content broadcast the content to others.

1.7 Registration closing dates and times are specific to each event and are set out on the individual registration webpages on the QLS website.

1.8 In the unlikely event that more than the maximum number of attendees are registered for an event, QLS will give preference to QLS members in order of time of registration. All registrants who cannot be accommodated will be advised via email or telephone and offered a full refund.

1.9 Only the named registered attendee can claim CPD points for attending/viewing an event. A registrant cannot share CPD points from one registration. The allocation of CPD points is indicative only and it is the practitioner’s responsibility to ensure that CPD records are accurate in accordance with their attendance and/or viewing time. It is recommended that practitioners maintain their own separate record of CPD attainment. For further information on CPD points, refer to the CPD rules and policies.

 2. Transfers of registrants and events

2.1 A registrant can request a transfer of their registration to a new registrant by request in writing before the event commencement date.

2.2 If a transfer is requested under clause 2.1 and there is a registration price difference due to the eligibility of the original and new registrant for a discount, the amount of difference will be invoiced and is payable immediately. The registration will not be transferred until the difference in registration fee is paid.   If the price difference is lower, no refund will apply.

2.3 Registrants cannot transfer their registrations to other events or QLS products such as event recordings, alternate events, future event dates (subject to clause 2.4 below), on-demand resources or obtain a general credit.

2.4 In the case of the Practice Management Course or a Mental Health First Aid Course, where a registrant has registered and paid, and subsequently requests a transfer to the same course scheduled for a future date, the following applies:

2.4.1 A $100 + GST transfer administration fee will be charged and must be paid before the original event commencement date.

2.4.2 Transfers to a future Practice Management Course or Mental Health First Aid Course date are not available after the advertised registration closing time and date of the original event.

2.4.3 A transfer can only be made to a future Practice Management Course or Mental Health First Aid Course with a confirmed event date and cannot be held for an indefinite future date.

 3. Event registration cancellation and refunds

3.1 Subject to this clause, if a registrant does not attend an event for whatever reason, no refund will be provided.

3.2 The following terms will apply to requests from registrants to cancel an event registration:

3.2.1 Where a request for cancellation is received at least 7 days before the day of an event (not including the day of the event), a refund of the registration fee will be provided less a cancellation fee of 30%.

3.2.2 Where a request for cancellation is received 7 days or less before the day of the event (not including the day of the event) no refund will be provided.

3.3 If the registration fee has not been paid at the time of the request for cancellation, the registrant is still liable for the registration fee and the cancellation fee outlined in clause 3.1.

3.4 QLS makes every attempt to run events in accordance with advertised schedules however in the event that QLS cancels an event, registrants will be notified, and a full refund will be provided.

3.5 Refunds offered in accordance with these terms and conditions will be refunded to the credit card used to make the initial purchase. Refunds for payments made by BPAY, Cheque or EFT will be refunded by EFT.
