QLS supported the modernisation of rental laws in Queensland. QLS welcomed the decision that the end of the contractual lease period was grounds on which to issue a notice to leave, being consistent with the fundamental nature of a contract. QLS supported the reforms to help tenants escaping domestic and family violence. QLS raised concerns about the approach to periodic tenancies.
