Admission kits

Admission kits are available to assist a person seeking admission to the legal profession in preparing the required documents to be submitted to the Board and the Court as part of an application for admission.

Important Information - Changes to the Admissions Process

Required Documentation in Support of Suitability for Admission - ALL Applicants:

Please be advised the Board has recently implemented changes effective from 22 January 2025 as follows:

  • If applicants have obtained documentation supporting suitability matters as a digital original (for example, received by email or an online portal), ALL applicants MUST provide a certified copy of the digital original. An electronic document can also be referred to as a download, or digital document. You may obtain a certified copy with the term ‘download’, and this is acceptable for use certified copies of electronic documents.
  • Previously, you were not required to provide a certified copy of digital original supporting documentation.

All applicants are to refer to the Legal Profession Act 2007 (Qld), the Supreme Court (Admission) Rules 2004, (Subordinate legislation; current as at 2 November 2015), and Legal Profession Regulation 2007, ALL of which are available on Queensland Government's Queensland Legislation website.
