Bespoke Ethics Sessions
Our solicitors are available to present Bespoke Ethics Sessions to firms, in-house, pro bono and government. These sessions count towards your CPD requirements.
If you are a member firm, the 1-hour session is complimentary (limit of 2 complimentary sessions per CPD year) while the cost for a non-member firm is $740 + GST.
A précis of possible topics can be found below. However with appropriate notice, the Centre can tailor the session to your specific needs / audience.
Please note that these sessions are separate to the QLS Legal Ethics Course and do not apply to admission or disciplinary matters.
QLS Legal Costs Course
Solicitors may be required to attend the QLS Legal Costs Course by:
- an order of the Court, QCAT, or Legal Practice Committee;
- referral by the Legal Services Commission;
- resolution of Council or the Executive Committee of the Council of Queensland Law Society; or
- where a recommendation has been made by a legal representative of a practitioner and the Centre accepts that they should undertake the course.
Practitioners are unable to attend the QLS Legal Costs Course without one of the above orders, referrals, resolutions or recommendations. The cost of the course is $1500 (inc GST).
