Law Society of South Australia warns of spam email

Earlier today the Law Society of South Australia we were alerted that an email was received by a QLS member purportedly sent from the Law Society of South Australia under the guise of a CPD audit email.

Earlier today the Law Society of South Australia we were alerted that an email was received by a QLS member purportedly sent from the Law Society of South Australia under the guise of a CPD audit email.

The Law Society of South Australia confirms that this email was not sent by them, nor from their email system and no internal systems have been breached.

The sender of the email has made the ‘name’ of the sender appear to be from an email associated with the Law Society of South Australia. The actual email address that this email was sent from is noreply@companypolicy.au. The Law Society of South Australia does not have any association with the website domain ‘companypolicy.au’.

The Law Society of South Australia and Queensland Law Society would like to remind members to remain vigilant and;

  • Not to clicks any links within suspicious emails
  • You should not reply to suspicious emails
  • Mark suspicious emails as ‘spam’ or ‘phishing’ and delete it from your inbox
  • Follow the appropriate procedures your IT teams have asked of you
