Law Week 2026: People powering justice

By Media Officer

Law Week 2026 is now underway with this year’s theme People powering justice, recognising the individuals and organisations who support access to justice across Queensland.

From solicitors and community legal centres to justices of the peace, policy contributors and support services, the theme recognises the people behind the system; those who work every day to support others, guide difficult decisions, and help Queenslanders navigate legal challenges.

Throughout Law Week, the Queensland Law Society will be sharing content and insights across its channels that showcase the people behind the profession and the work they do.

Across QLS channels, this includes:

  • Showcasing the people powering justice within QLS and the work being done in law reform and advocacy
  • Sharing the work of our members and the wider legal community as they support access to justice across Queensland

On You & The Law, this includes:

  • The launch of the Ask a Solicitor video series, featuring QLS members answering common legal questions from the public
  • A public awareness campaign encouraging Queenslanders to seek a solicitor when they need legal advice

To follow along throughout the week, connect with QLS on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, as well as Proctor

You can also explore You & The Law, QLS’s public‑facing channels, for new content designed to educate Queenslanders and help them find the right legal support via the website and Facebook page.
