QLS responded to the Women’s Safety and Justice Taskforce on options for responding to coercive control. QLS acknowledged the debate about whether criminalising coercive control will reduce domestic violence against women. QLS emphasised the importance of a multi-faceted response to coercive control, including community and stakeholder education and improved implementation of current systems.
