The holder of this certificate must: a. comply with the terms of the District Court Orders made on 26 June 2025; and b. undertake a period of mentorship with a QLS Senior Counsellor until 26 December 2026, which includes the holder of this certificate: i. making arrangements with a QLS Senior Counsellor nominated by the Queensland Law Society and provide confirmation to the Society of the Senior Counsellor’s acceptance; ii. providing to the QLS Senior Counsellor a copy of submission ES25.27; iii. providing to the QLS Senior Counsellor a copy of the supervised legal practice plan; iv. meeting with the Senior Counsellor once per quarter commencing from Q4 2025 and to continue until 26 December 2026; v. ensuring that meetings are conducted in person, by telephone or via an online meeting; vi. ensuring ethical and/or legal issues are discussed; vii. obtaining from the QLS Senior Counsellor after the 2nd and 4th meeting, written confirmation of the date of each meeting that has taken place and provide that to the Society within 14 days after the 2nd and 4th meeting; viii. providing the Society a report from the Senior Counsellor after the 2nd and 4th meeting within 14 days after the 2nd and 4th meeting; ix. meeting the costs of the Senior Counsellor (if any); c. attend and successfully complete the QLS Legal Ethics Course (by obtaining a ‘pass’ mark) at their own expense by 30 June 2026.
