The holder of this practising certificate must do the following: 1. Treatment and initial report: a. Mr Pieterse must engage in treatment with a registered psychiatrist and provide to the General Manager, Regulation of the Queensland Law Society Inc (Society) the name and contact details of that treating psychiatrist. The engagement must be notified within one month of Mr Pieterse being granted a practising certificate. b. Mr Pieterse must engage in treatment with a treating psychiatrist for a period of three years, at a frequency to be determined by the treating psychiatrist. c. Mr Pieterse must adhere to the treatment and drug and alcohol use guidelines recommended by the treating psychiatrist. 2. Undertaking a. Mr Pieterse is to provide an undertaking that he will abstain from using alcohol and cannabis. The undertaking is to be provided within one month of Mr Pieterse being granted a practising certificate. 3. Ongoing reports a. Mr Pieterse must provide an annual report from the treating psychiatrist to the Society with each renewal application for the next three years which must address his engagement with the psychiatrist and adherence to any treatment plan.
