Practice Directions Guide for Criminal and DV Callovers

1. Committal callover:

a. PD 2010/09 “Case Conferences and Callovers in Criminal matters” – refers to case conferencing prior to court, timeframes for disclosure, and requirements of representatives at each mention of the matter.

b. PD 2010/10 “Times, and Procedures from Callovers to Conclusion in Criminal Matters” – sets out timeframes for the progression of criminal matters (both summary and committal) from the first court appearance until finalisation or committal.

c. PD2010/12 “Witnesses giving Evidence in Committal Proceedings” – provides for the timeframes around 110B notices, prosecution response and filing of relevant documents for the formal application.

d. PD2010/13 “Disclosure” – refers to timeframes for disclosure of briefs of evidence and requests for the disclosure of other material by defence

e. PD2010/14 “Registry Committals” – refers to the timeframes when a registry committal has been indicated.
