Mental Health First Aid Series 

QLS is certified by Mental Health First Aid Australia to deliver be-spoke in-house training programs to your workplace.

Mental Health First Aid Australia is a global, purpose-driven provider of mental health first aid education that equips individuals with the knowledge and skills to provide support when it matters most. The MHFA courses are based on guidelines that are informed by people with lived experience, their caregivers and health professionals. In a safe and supportive and supportive environment, participants will learn practical mental health first aid skills to equip them to:

  • Recognise common mental health conditions
  • Provide initial help using a practical, evidence-based action plan
  • Seek appropriate professional help
  • Respond in a crisis situation

Individuals who complete Mental Health First Aid training are known as Mental Health First Aiders (MHFAiders) and will receive a 3-year accreditation upon completion of the assessment.

Participants who complete the course are eligible for CPD points in the area of Professional Skills (PS).

The two interactive workshops are designed to support the removal of inappropriate behaviours in the workplace and are an educational measure employers can initiate to satisfy the positive obligation to eliminate sexual harassment and provide a psychologically safe workplace for all employees

Ways to Wellbeing Series

Queensland Law Society has designed a new series of workshops, tailored specifically at offering practical strategies and insights to enhance mental health and wellbeing in the legal profession. These workshops will empower people to understand the importance of wellbeing, help to reduce the stigma regarding mental illness and outline practical strategies to help address issues people may encounter in the workplace.

Topics covered in the workshops include the signs and symptoms of mental illness, developing resilient habits, addressing unconscious bias and burnout

  • You will be invoiced within 7 days of the delivery of the workshop
  • In the event that you cancel the workshops and no further dates can be agreed upon or rescheduled, you will be liable to pay a 50% cancellation fee
