QLS acknowledges Attorney-General's commitment to legal profession

Queensland Law Society President Rebecca Fogerty thanks The Honourable Yvette D'Ath for her commitment and service to the legal profession and law reform, following her announcement that she will resign from politics at the next election.

QLS enjoys a strong and collaborative relationship with the Attorney-General, who also holds the portfolios of Minister for Justice and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic and Family Violence.

"During her term as Attorney-General Yvette D'Ath has built a legacy of important legal reform that has benefitted the lives of Queenslanders and led to respectful and meaningful collaboration with QLS.

"The Attorney-General has always been willing to listen and consult with QLS on a wide range of issues affecting the legal profession and has been driven by achieving real, meaningful change, in particular her focus on justice system reform.

"From all of us at QLS, we wish you the best in your future endeavours," Rebecca Fogerty said.
