You can log in to renew your 2025-26 practising certificate and Queensland Law Society (QLS) membership between 1 May and 31 May 2025.
When you submit your renewal
If your employer has NOT completed Stage one – subscription selection prior to you completing your renewal application, you must pay by credit card at that time. There is no Pay Later option available.
How do I renew?
Step by step instructions for completing your QLS Practising Certificate and Membership Renewal are available in the Renewals Guide for Practitioners.
From 1 May 2025 to 31 May 2025:
- Visit myQLS and log in with your username and password
- Go to the Notification/Tasks section of the myQLS home page and find the Renew your QLS practising certificate notification.
- Click Renew now to start your application.
- Alternatively, if you are not renewing in the 2025-26 year, click Not renewing.
Your online renewal must be submitted, and all fees must be paid by 31 May 2025.
QLS Membership
If you are not yet a QLS member, you can apply to become one as part of the renewal process. As a member you will gain access to exclusive services and benefits, to help build your practice and your profile.

Professional Standards Scheme
If your employer has elected to participate in the Scheme, you must be a QLS member and participate in the Scheme, you will have no option to exempt from the professional standards scheme and membership when completing your Renewal application.
