What is an on-demand resource?

An on-demand resource is a recording of a live event or a stand-alone session which is only accessible online.

Are all professional development events available as an on-demand resources?

No, not all events are recorded as on-demand resources. All available on-demand resources are listed online in the QLS shop. For further information, please contact Events Management on (07) 3842 5806 or by emailing events@qls.com.au.

How do I purchase an on-demand resource?

On-demand resources can be purchased through the QLS Shop

What are my QLS login details?

Your username is your individual QLS number or email address. If you do not know your username or password, click on the “Forgot my password” or “my username” links on the login page and follow the prompts. If you are still experiencing login issues please contact QLS Records and Member Services on (07) 3842 5805 or via email records@qls.com.au.

How do I purchase a resource if I am unable to pay by credit card and require an invoice?

Should you require an invoice in order to make payment, please contact Events Management on (07) 3842 5806 and we can process the order on your behalf and send through an invoice for payment.

Can I view a conference program before purchasing an on-demand recording?

Yes, you may view it by clicking on the ‘program’ button in the resource overview. The program will open in a new tab and you can view the details of the conference sessions and presenters.

When I clicked on the on-demand resource web link, it says ‘access denied’, why?

The account you have logged into is not the account that was used to make the purchase. Ensure you are logged in with the same QLS login details that were used to purchase the on-demand resource.

Accessing

I have purchased an on-demand resource, how do I access it?

Once you have successfully made your payment you can access your resources from a few places: 

You will get a confirmation page after you have made your payment that will have links to your purchases. 

You will also get a confirmation email which will have links to your purchases.

You will also be able to find your purchases in your myQLS account.

Can I view the on-demand resource more than once?

Yes, you can view an on-demand resource multiple times. You will have up to 12 months to access the content from the date of purchase.

Can I view the on-demand resource on a number of different devices?

Yes, our on-demand resources can be viewed on any device that has internet access.

CPD

In which CPD year are on-demand resources valid?

On-demand resources (including event and stand-alone recordings) are valid for the year in which they are viewed. CPD points for viewing on-demand resources during the period 1 January to 31 March may be counted in the current CPD year or the following CPD year, but not both.  It is your responsibility as a practitioner to ensure that the content is relevant and appropriate for your own professional development needs.

How do I know how many CPD points a resource is worth and the areas it covers?

All relevant information about a resource will be included in the resource overview in the QLS Shop listing, including the number and categories of CPD points and the recording date.. Once purchased, the information is also available on the on-demand resource viewing page.
